This white wine is available in most supermarkets where I live on the Tuscany Umbria border. Typically, for a local white, it is unoaked and made from Trebbiano and Grechetto grapes.

Label Notes
The back label tells you that this wine is one of the first DOC wines (1968), made with Trebbiano and Grechetto grapes, traditional Umbrian varietals that mutually enhance each other. The up to date techniques used in the vineyard and winery result in an elegant product with good structure, both light and refined. The name recalls the mythical origins of Torgiano with its medieval tower built on a roman settlement associated with the veneration of the double headed god Janus (Giano).

Tasting Notes
Clear and pale yellow in colour, this wine had aromas of citrus, apple and camomile flowers. In the mouth it had a lovely crisp acidity and noticeable minerality with an aftertaste of almonds.
Verdict: Not bad value for money.
